A Musical Christmas continues to receive such positive feedback, so we are delighted to producing it once more. A perfect start to Christmas!

Members will rehearse for 4 weekends leading up to the performances.

Performances are on 19, 20, 21, 22 December

Guys & Dolls

Guys and Dolls JR. is a 60 minute adaptation of the show considered by many to be the perfect musical comedy. It’s just completed a West End revival and we’re looking forward to seeing what our older members in year 9+ bring to this perennial crowd pleaser.

This production will be auditioned, and is open to those of you in current school year 9 and above.

 Auditions

Auditions to join the cast will take place on Sunday 8 June. Details are below.

The venue is The Space, Heath Road, Petersfield GU31 4DU

2.30 – 5.00pm – School year 9+

There will be recall auditions on Tuesday 10 June, times TBC.

 Rehearsals

Rehearsals will run Monday 11 August – Thursday 21 August, 2pm to 9pm each day. These are the outside times, and cast members will not be called all day, every day. It’s important that you are able to commit to all of these rehearsals in order to take part.

 Performances

Performances will take place at The Olivier Theatre, Bedales School on Friday 22 and Saturday 23 August. More details to follow.

 Membership and production fees

If you are offered a place in the cast you will need to be a member of PYT, which has a membership fee of £20. There will also be a production fee of £160.

Newsies

Disney’s Newsies JR. is a 60-minute version of the 2012 Broadway musical, based on the 1992 film, and we’re delighted that our members in schools years 6, 7, and 8 will have to opportunity to perform this rousing musical, this Summer.

When powerful newspaper publishers raise prices at the newsboys’ expense, the charismatic Jack Kelly rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions. Together, the newsies learn that they are stronger united and create a movement to fight for what’s right.

This production will be auditioned, and is open to those of you in current year 6, 7 and 8.

Summer Holiday Activity

Summer Fun! offers a week full of fun and creative activities for children currently aged 5 to School Year 8.

Participants will have the opportunity to rotate through 4 workshops each day, experiencing theatre games, acting, singing, dancing, storytelling, craft and music. A perfect way to spend a week of the Summer holidays!

Membership and project fees

To take part, you will need to be a member of PYT, which has a membership fee of £20.  The project fee is £145 and payable in installments.

Weekly Workshops

The workshops are a great way to get involved with PYT during term time outside of our productions and projects. They have been introduced into the PYT creative programme to give our members more opportunities to embrace all things theatre, to make new friends and gain the confidence they need for everyday life.
