Follow the inventor Caractacus Potts as he restores a broken-down old racing car with the help of his children Jeremy and Jemima. Joined by the delightful Truly Scrumptious, the family soon discover that the car has magical powers, as they embark on a fantastical adventure to Vulgaria. The vulgar Baron and Baroness, along with the Child Catcher, do everything they can to scupper the family’s adventure, but in true musical fashion, good overcomes evil.
Based on the famous 1968 film, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang boasts a lavish score of wonderful songs including Hushabye Mountain, Toot Sweets, Truly Scrumptious and of course the title song, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
With a cast of 90, a live band, and of course, a flying car, PYT are set to bring this family musical to the Festival Hall this September.
