Autumn Season 2008

PYT is very pleased to announce our Autumn Season 2008.

We will be producing three musical shows over a two week season from the middle of September.

Alice in Wonderland

Based on the 1951 Disney film and book by Lewis Carroll

On a perfect summer's day Alice daydreams her way to a magical wonderland. A white rabbit hurries by and sets the tone for her crazy adventures. Alice in Wonderland needs no further introduction - it is a perfect show for all the family.

Honk!

Music by George Stiles, Book and Lyrics by Anthony Drewe

PYT last worked on Honk! for our 2002 Easter project when we rehearsed and performed the show in just 4 days. Based on the Hans Christian Andersen story, The Ugly Duckling, the show is set in rural England and follows our hero's journey towards adulthood and self discovery. The musical is bursting with energy, wit and fantastic songs. In 2000 Honk! won the Oliver Award for Best New Musical.

The Silver Sword

Based on the novel by Ian Serraillier. Words and music by Richard Taylor

Richard Taylor also wrote the lyrics and music for our 2007 production, The Wind in the Willows

Although the Silver Sword is only a paper knife, it becomes a symbol of hope and courage. In this epic tale, four children struggle to stay alive in the Warsaw ghetto. As the War comes to an end they make their heroic journey from Poland to Switzerland in search of their parents. An uplifting story of kindness and humanity.
